Readiness assessment: what to review before investing in AI

A useful assessment connects a business objective with the conditions needed to achieve it. It does not need a universal score: it should explain what can be tested now, what is missing and which investment is worth assessing.

Planning a first application

  1. Review task frequency, volume and variation.
  2. Inventory data quality, access and ownership.
  3. Check tools, permissions and the team’s review capacity.

What to check before deciding

Delivery should identify priorities, dependencies, risks, costs to quote and test acceptance criteria. An introductory conversation offers orientation; a detailed assessment needs agreed scope and deliverables.
